DOMAS Studio is the next chapter in a journey that began nearly 19 years ago, when I first pursued a degree in Studio Art at Millikin University. What started as a college major quietly evolved into something much more expansive and life giving—especially three years ago, when I taught my first art therapy workshop right here in Assumption, Illinois.
Since then, the vision has grown. DOMAS Studio was born out of a desire to create more access—to painting, drawing, poetry, writing, and any creative practice that fosters both individual growth and genuine community connection.
Rooted in our rural town, DOMAS is committed to bringing meaningful artistic and cultural experiences to an area that is often overlooked. From hands-on workshops and classes to open studio access and monthly events, everything we offer is designed to inspire creativity and bring people together.
At its heart, DOMAS Studio is about honoring the creative process, nurturing expression, and expanding what’s possible—right here, in the middle of small town America.
