The Long Way Home Basket with Bonnie’s Baskets

Spend the day creating a beautiful, thoughtfully designed basket in The Long Way Home workshop with Bonnie’s Baskets. This six-hour class begins with weaving a filled base and moves through techniques including twining, triple twining, and creative variations of triple twining, allowing each basket to develop its own personality along the way.
Students may choose between a spring color palette or an alternative warm-toned version, with accent colors reflecting the beauty found in the surrounding season.
The name The Long Way Home is inspired by Bonnie’s own creative practice. An avid pickleball player and photographer, Bonnie often took the long way home after games — slowing down to notice landscapes, sunsets, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments. This basket reflects that same spirit of observation, intention, and appreciation for the journey.
All supplies are provided. Due to the detailed nature of the basket, class time may range from 4 to 6 hours, depending on pace and progress.
