Create your own handmade coffee mug using the slab method, a foundational clay-building technique where flat sheets of clay are rolled, shaped, joined, and textured to form a functional piece. Slab mugs offer endless possibilities — from clean and minimal to patterned, stamped, or sculpted, making them perfect for both beginners and seasoned makers.
With hands-on guidance and 1:1 support from Ashley, you’ll learn how to form your mug body, attach a handle, and add personal touches that make your piece uniquely yours.
Glazing will take place during class (as time allows), or your mug can be dip-glazed in white or black by the studio. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately one month following drying and firing.
