Monet Master Study: Water Lilies

Spend an afternoon immersed in the work of Claude Monet through this focused master study. In this three-hour class, we’ll closely examine Monet’s iconic Water Lilies paintings, paying special attention to his mark making, brushwork, color choices, and layering techniques.
Rather than creating an original composition, this class is centered on learning through observation. You’ll create a replica study inspired by Monet’s water lilies, using the process to better understand how and why he painted the way he did. This approach allows you to slow down, notice details, and add new tools to your own artistic practice.
All supplies are provided. This class is ideal for anyone who enjoys art history, painting, and learning through hands-on study, no prior experience required.
