Knife Skills: Part 2 - Care, Maintenance & Mastery

This second installment of Knife Skills with Chef Zuber is designed for those ready to build on the foundational techniques introduced in Part 1 and deepen their confidence in the kitchen.

While the first class focused on cutting techniques, knife selection, and breakdown skills, Part 2 shifts toward long-term knife care and refinement, the habits that keep knives safe, sharp, and effective over time.

In this hands-on class, Chef Zuber will guide participants through:

•Proper knife cleaning, drying, and storage to extend blade life

•How and when to sharpen vs. hone, and maintaining a consistent edge

•Choosing and using the right cutting surfaces and how they impact your knives

•Refining cutting techniques learned in Part 1 for greater efficiency and control

•Troubleshooting common knife issues in home kitchens

This class is ideal for anyone who has taken Knife Skills Part 1 or for experienced home cooks looking to improve how they care for and maintain their tools, not just use them.

Each participant will receive food to practice with during class.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own knives (a personal knife or knife set is required).

This is an adults-only class, and spots are limited to ensure personalized, hands-on instruction.
