Advanced Practicum: Painting & Drawing
 
Mondays | May 4, 11, 18, 25 & June 1, 8, 15, 22 | 6-7:30pm
 
This eight-week Advanced Practicum is designed for artists who are ready to move beyond introductory instruction and engage in a deeper, more focused creative practice. Across a total of 720 minutes of studio time, participants will explore a range of painting and drawing approaches while receiving thoughtful guidance, feedback, and support.
 
Rather than following a single project format, this practicum encourages participants to develop their own artistic direction. Throughout the course we will explore a variety of techniques, materials, and conceptual approaches while strengthening foundational skills such as composition, observation, mark-making, and color relationships.
 
This class is ideal for artists who are looking for more advanced educational support, whether that means refining technical abilities, pushing creative boundaries, or dedicating consistent studio time to developing a body of work.
 
Participants will be encouraged to experiment, take creative risks, and engage in meaningful discussion about process and artistic decision-making.
 
This practicum is best suited for individuals who already have some experience in drawing or painting and are looking for a more rigorous and supportive studio environment to continue growing their practice.
